Leo Graduated!

I am pleased to reveal that, with difficult work as well as intense late night research study sessions, Leo has effectively passed as well as graduated from puppy class! I’m so delighted we did a puppy training class. It was absolutely worth the money. Not only was it fun, however we discovered a lot.
In addition to “sit”, “down”, as well as “come”, we were able to show Leo “leave it” as well as loose-leash walking. However, Leo still needs a ton of work with loose-leash walking. He’s fantastic at walking by my side up until the wind catches a leaf, somebody walks by, or quite much any type of distraction that might happen, as well as he just bolts.
The one command that we can’t show him is “drop it”. In class, he caught on swiftly that if he dropped the toy, he would get a treat. That led to him not even accepting the toy as well as patiently waiting to be treated. Now, whenever trying at home, as soon as he understands what’s going on, he refuses to take a toy. When I’ve tried to catch him off guard, he doesn’t listen up until I show him a treat.
We still have a great deal of practicing to do to master these commands, as well as we’re thinking about taking the intermediate class. I believe it would be worth it in the end, however must we enroll him ideal away or wait a bit as well as continue practicing whatever we discovered in the puppy class?
