Mews and Nips: Neural AI Network is Naming Cats, and The results are funny
The Morris animal refuge in Philadelphia teamed up with research scientist Janelle Shane, who trains neural networks, a type of device learning algorithm, to name cats, and the results are hilarious. She originally trained a network by giving it 8,000 cat names to learn from, but the AI stumbled, giving out names like Hurler and Retchion. Shane revisited the challenge with an AI that had a lot much more context and trained it up with a long list of cat names. this time around, it was (somewhat) much more successful, coming up with names like Sparky Buttons, Tom Glitter, and Pompompur. Well, well if isn’t Tom glitter and Whiskeridoo; what fabulous, incredible names for two beautiful cats. I bet these two cats could tell all of us a story or two about their exciting adventures in the world. Both are precious precious felines and one could certainly have sweet exciting dreams about the two. I’m so very very pleased to meet you both and I hope with all my heart you both take good care of yourselves and make sure the world treats you both in a special special way.

I like that name Whiskeridoo. That would have been a good name for Pele. She even had long whiskers when she was a baby.
